Swimming with whale sharks is one of the best experiences Mafia Island has to offer. Whale Sharks are the largest fish in the ocean, the largest recorded coming in at 12.8m.

Our tour will leave at 7am and will take between 2-5 hours. Whale sharks are wild animals so there is no guarantee that we will find them. 80-90% of our tours find whale sharks. In the case that we do not see them you can join us on another tour for $50.

Visitors to the Marine Park have to pay a daily fee of $23.6 per person. This amount is on top of the price quoted below and will be paid to the authorities directly when we arrive at the entrance.

We will visit the island ruins, the traditional dhow making area and also the resident flying fox bats (the worlds largest bats!). Visit one of Mafia Islands hidden secrets, the beautiful lagoon. You will enter the mangrove are on boat, where you will notice the waters change to an impossible colour of blue. A short 1 minute walk on the island will take you to a secluded lagoon, resident to the upside down jelly fish. It really does need to be seen to be believed! Lunch can be served at the lagoon or on the boat, you decide.
